“Creating Functioning Musicians with Technology”
Functional musicians are
those who can play without music at a party or any other gathering,
improvise an accompaniment to a song the
group wants to sing, pick out melodies by ear on the spot, transpose
music to an appropriate pitch level, sight
read at least intermediate music with fluency, and function as a
musician rather than just a pianist.
This
session focuses on strategies that develop musicianship in all piano
students by using technology.
