MTNA Teacher Enrichment Grants


TMTA TEACHER ENRICHMENT GRANTS 

YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE IF  

·        you are an active member of TMTA and a local association, and

·        you have an ongoing interest in and dedication to the teaching profession, and

·        wish to further your education by working on a regular basis with a master teacher, or attend regularly scheduled courses of instruction.                       

The program will award up to $2000 annually.  This award is designed to match the cost of the projected instruction and may be divided among multiple candidates.

Send the following information to the current TMTA Trustee Chairman:

1.      A statement outlining the plan of study which includes the following:
      a.      A description of your musical education and qualifications.
      b.      A brief outline of your current work in music; instruments taught, number of students
            regularly taught, etc.
      c.      An explanation of how this learning activity will contribute toward the applicant’s career
            goals.

2.      Two letters of recommendation from previous or current teachers (private and/or college faculty.

3.      A precise state of finances needed to meet the costs of the projected course of study.

The deadline for application is January 31 of the current year.


MTNA TEACHER ENRICHMENT GRANTS

Grants are provided to music teachers for private study, specific college-level course work or other projects that will enhance the performing and teaching skills of the applicant.
