April 15, 2020 Newsletter

Posted by Abby Hehenberger on 04/16/2020
Dear TMTA Members,
I am sending this out a little late as we all come to grips that we are not having our beloved convention this year. We are all very disappointed; however, there are still many activities going on to help us make the best of a difficult situation. I’m holding my own online festival this week. My students are making unlisted YouTube recordings and then I am sending them to be judged by a friend of mine. I watched my first video today sent in by one of my students and it so warmed my heart. I saw one of my little ones making the best of this situation.
TMTA will still be moving forward with many activities. We will still have Board and SA meetings in June (but using Zoom). All the teacher awards will be announced in June in a special edition of the monthly newsletter! Our wonderful seniors will still be eligible for their senior awards. The Performance Contest is still on.
The TMTA Officers and Office Staff are diligently working to communicate with our members and students. We appreciate your feedback and especially words of encouragement.
Musically,
Teresa Crawford, NCTM
TMTA President 2018-2020
