Enjoy the camaraderie and fun of an ensemble at the TMTA Convention! Feel the thrill as your association’s students walk on stage and perform in costume. All students who have passed the theory test are eligible to participate. Deadline to register your group for this amazing event is March 1, 2020.

Rick Valentine and Rebecca Landreth, NCTM will be honored at the 2020 MTNA Conference in Chicago, Illinois. TMTA depends on our members to donate the funds needed to support the nominations of these two well-deserving teachers. The deadline is January 20, 2020! Sharon Callahan, TMTEF Trustee Chair

Sharon Callahan, TMTEF Trustee Chair
Sharon T. Callahan is currently serving as a Director on the MTNA Board of Directors and is the Board representative to the Finance Committee. She was honored as a MTNA Foundation Fellow in 2015 and is a member of the Legacy Society. Ms. Callahan is a TMTA Past President and Vice President for Business Activities (VPBA) and she currently serves as Trustee Chair for TMTEF, a World of Music test grader, Chair of the Nominating Committee, and head Theory Test grader for Level 6. She was honored in 2009 as TMTA’s “Teacher of the Year.”
Sharon collaborates as a piano performance accompanist for many groups (Montgomery County Choral Society along with several area high school, junior high, and elementary school choirs), soloists (choral and instrumental), and contests. She is frequently requested as an adjudicator for many festivals and piano contests throughout Texas. She has taught private piano lessons in The Woodlands/Montgomery area for over 30 years.
