2020 Convention is cancelled.
Dear TMTA Members,
It is with heavy hearts and much thought that the TMTA Officers inform all of you that the TMTA 2020 Convention has been cancelled. The safety of our members and students comes first. There are many details to be ironed out pertaining to cancellation, but there are a few activities that will remain active. Below is a summary of the TMTA Officer decisions:
TMTA SA Performance-The contest will be online. We will be using the Acceptd platform with a deadline of June 6 for all online submissions. More information will be sent to the teachers pertaining to the process of submitting the online video by the end of next week.
Senior Awards-The deadline for these Awards is May 1 and awards will be mailed out.
Convention Activities-All Convention Activities are cancelled.
Convention Registration-All individuals who registered for 2020 Convention will be refunded in the manner that they paid for registration. UPDATE 4/11: This is been completed, and you should see your return within a week or so.
Ensemble Registration-Local Associations will be refunded the fees paid for this event. It is then the responsibility of the Local Association to distribute refunds to students.
Ensemble Awards-All students who are currently registered for ensemble will still receive their ensemble points and be eligible for ensemble awards.
Exhibitor Booths, Showcases and Convention Book Advertising will be refunded.
Performance Contest Monitor Fees and Ensemble Monitor Fees will be refunded.
Please allow 30 days for refunds to be processed.
